If you feel you aren't good enough for yourself,
You will never feel good enough for anybody else.

Too right, although those who love you
should make a point of pointing out that you are totally brilliant.

Please let me know if this is original or you are quoting some one. In case this is a quote please put a link to the original, and if this is original you have just had a great insight.

i agree with sue. i like the way you have quasi-rhymed "yourself" and "else".

recently i went for a marriage to calcutta: the rail journey as u might know is quite tedious yet enlightening in a weird sort of way. i tried to capture the journey in haikus. hopefully up soon on my blog!!

hi there..
its more like a 'if then else ' statement. its like if you don't like your self then you would feel your not worth anyone...
well there are the dudes who feel there too good for everybody but thats a different thing.
man , the first thing will happen if anybody gives too much for the world around them. which i belive i not really necessary beyond a point. well ....God save em'.

SACH.

Sue- Now that I would be nice! ;)

Anonymous - This is original. If I were quoting someone I would have given due credit. I dont think its a great insight, its a feeling we have all known at some point or the other.

Shubho - The haikus make me nostalgic for the train journey to Calcutta.....esp. the view of Howrah and all the bengali goodies on the train as you approach calcutta - mishti doi (is that spelt correctly?) and jhaal moori etc..

CJ - Yes, sir.

Fatty - still dont know technically how to do it. will be back like a bad penny!

Sach - huh?

too true too true, also very profound, maybe you should replace your profile pic with that of some really old wise looking sage.

Silvermoon - Indeed, none of us do.

Very true, and most of the answers we are looking for in life can be found within ourselves. Sometimes it takes an ouside source to hold a mirror in front of use to see it.

Its only very right! very insighful although easily overlooked in this maddening world!

When you think about it, we're the only ones who have enough information about ourselves to make a good judgement on whether we are good enough or not. For me it is the process of get past the illusions and love the stuff you find waiting for you (some of it is really great). Wonderful words Nicole!
