(....from "SILENCE! THE COURT IS IN SESSION" - by Vijay Tendulkar)
Our feet tread on upon unknown
And dangerous pathways evermore.
Wave after blinded wave is shattered
Stormily upon the shore,
Light glows alive again. Again
It mingles with the dark of night
Our earthen hands burn out, and then
Again in flames they are alight.
Everything is fully known,
And everything is clear to see.
And the wound that is born to bleed
Bleeds on forever, faithfully.
There is a battle sometimes, where
Defeat is destined as the end.
Some experiences are meant
To taste, then just to waste and spend.

Very interesting...
I read the original Marathi classic some years back. Maybe I will just go pick it up again. If you can, watch the recording of the original staging of the play (Its in black & white; so a refreshing change from the riot of colours that we witness today). It contains some searing performances...
Also. do drop at my blog sometime. My comments page seems to be woefully empty though the visitor count keeps ticking on
:(
I enjoyed reading your blog posts. It's nice! :)
thanks for posting that, want to read more of it...more of that faithful bleeding and that wasted, spent experience.
